Practice

Pacific Park is open everyday from 10am to 5pm EST (9am to 6pm EDST), except on race weekends (refer to the Calendar) and any nominated day by the Club in order to carry out Track work, Working Bees or Special Events held by the Club. Refer to the Track Status on the home page.


PRACTICE FEES

Fees for non-club members is $35.
Members practice fees are covered by the club membership.

 

KEYS

Before proceding to the track, all visitors must contact one of the following committee persons to obtain a key to the track.

They will then check for a Current AKA License, collect your Practice Fees and advise you of further relevant information. Before you commence practice you MUST sign the Log Book located in a Galvanised Meter Box at the entry to the Grid Area.

 

SHARED FACILITY

Pacific Park is a shared facility with the Hire Kart Operators. The rule of 15 minutes on the track and 15 minutes off applies when practicing at any time. If there are any problems, you are to ring one of the nominated people on the sign at the entry to the grid area. Drivers must wait for the track to be clear before proceeding onto the circuit. You cannot practice while the hire karts are on the circuit. Take extra care when practicing as there are no Parametic or Ambulance in attendance.

 

PLEASE NOTE

This is an AKA affiliated track, therefore you must follow all the rules within the current AKA Manual. Juniors can only practice with Juniors, Seniors with Seniors. Midgets and Rookies may practice together. ALL karts must comply with the current AKA Rules and Requirements. If you have a Mechanical Defect, return to the pits IMMEDIATELY. Drivers can only practice with engines and karts that they are eligible to use.

Drivers must wear a Full-Face Helmet with the visor down, Gloves, enclosed Race Boots, One-Piece Race Suit covered to the neck, ankles and wrist. All personnel entering the Pits and Grid area must wear enclosed footware.

Pacific Park is a designated NO SMOKING area by Government Law and there is to be no Alcohol consumed during practice hours and race meetings.

 

PEOPLE WHO FAIL TO ABIDE BY THE RULES ABOVE AND FAIL TO ADHERE TO THE AKA RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL BE DENIED ACCES TO THE TRACK AND ASKED TO LEAVE THE CIRCUIT.
