The next "Come and Try Days" are on Saturday 16th January and Sunday 17th January. We had a great turnout for the last Come and Try Day and welcomed 3 new members to the club. Club members are invited to bring along any karting gear they would like to sell, eg, karts, engines, tyres, suits, gloves, boots etc. The day will be advertised on Prime Television so we expect a good turnout.
Come & Try Days" are special days where the public can come along and try driving a real race kart on the track under controlled conditions. We provide the kart, safety equipment and instruction to allow you to experience the thrill of driving a kart. There is no racing or competition of any kind, you are out on the track to see if you might like to take up the sport.
Karting is the world's most affordable form of motorsport. It is considered the first step in any serious racer's career. It can prepare the driver for high-speed wheel-to-wheel racing by developing quick reflexes, precision, car control, set-up, mechanical and decision-making skills. People of all ages can enjoy the sport with children as young as seven competing behind the wheel.
Karting is competitive, but it is also fun and family orientated, with involvement in the sport both on and off the track giving it a strong feeling of community. It teaches driving skills and offers people an opportunity to gain a career in motorsport, all in a safe and organised environment. By getting behind the wheel of a kart at a young age the sport teaches children about car control and how to react in different situations, well before they get behind the wheel of a car on a public road.
If you plan to attend the Come-and-Try day, please make sure you have enclosed footwear, long trousers and a long sleeved top. If you have a full-faced helmet and / or gloves (car or motorcycle), bring them with you.
We look forward to welcoming you to experience the adrenalin packed sport of Kartng.
